Did you know that 1 in 10 African Americans live with sickle cell trait? One in 400 African Americans live with sickle cell disease. Over 100,00 people live with sickle cell disease. Sickle cell disease is the leading cause of stroke in children. Join us providing sickle cell education, genetic literacy, and determining reproductive risk of sickle cell disease. We support sickle cell overcomers by offering bi-monthly sickle cell support circles.
Our goal is to support sickle cell warriors in reaching their academic goals and dreams. Join us in donating funds towards the
Richard Webster-Bass Scholarship supporting high school, college, and vocational students in their pursuit of higher learning. Purchases of the Rainbows book and CDs will support the RWB Warriors Scholarship, Boggy Creek Camp transportation, and support circles.
The caregiving responsibilities for sickle cell overcomers can be overwhelming; time off from work, bills, and life interruptions. Richard
Webster-Bass Health Institute will support families during times of adversity.
